A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to join a distribution market leader as Operations Manager at their site based in Luton.
As Operations Manager, you will support the Area Manager in leading a team of up to 15 people with clear objectives focused on delivering the key business accountabilities.
The Operations Manager is accountable for service quality with customers, and you will partner with the relevant Sales Manager's customer service colleagues and all relevant stakeholders to build and maintain relationships with local customers and sales teams to drive profitable sales and deliver the highest standards of delivery service.
In the role you will be responsible for Hub optimisation, deployment of branch fleet and people resource and for all aspects of service fulfilment ensuring KPI's financial/sales targets are not only met but exceeded working collaboratively with management.
You will be responsible for forming and sustaining first-class stakeholder relationships across management, customers, supply chain and transport networks with decision making of always putting customer's at the heart of your decision making.
To be successful for this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate confidence and interpersonal skills, have ability to lead a team, offer excellent communication and organisational skills and also possess a full UK driving license.
Our client is seeking an experienced leader who can demonstrate managing in a warehouse environment, ideally having knowledge of industrial supplies Engineering or a Technical background as well as experience within an internal or external sales role.
You will be MS Office literate and ideally will possess a forklift truck license.
Salary for this opportunity is up to 40k plus a bonus of up to 15%, a company car and single private medical insurance.
You will work a 40 hour per week contract with no set working hours, so this position requires flexibility at the needs of the business.
