Are you passionate about leading teams and driving operational growth and improvements in manufacturing and distribution operations?
At our Okarno packing and distribution facility in Ruddington, we are looking for an Operations Manager to lead and support the growth of our Ruddington Facility.
We are looking for an inspirational leader, someone who can drive the delivery of our operations today while progressing toward our long-term growth plan for the future. You will take responsibility for all EHS, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement for the site while delivering some critical projects which include a warehouse management system implementation and site CAPEX projects. You will lead a team of around 30 colleagues through 2 direct reports in achieving the site goals and objectives. We are seeking someone capable of driving and delivering change and continuous improvement for a business going through a period of growth and improvement.
Okarno is one of 30 Saint-Gobain brand's, Okarno has been supplying customers of all shapes and sizes since 1935 and now tailor our offering to match the needs of independent merchants, national retailers and online stockists. Through our flexible delivery model, customers can order from as little as a single pallet, whether that's a full pallet of a single product, or a mixed pallet of products from across the range. Through our Gyproc Express service customers can also order a single parcel of product for small and speedy orders.
What we're looking for:
- A proven leader with a background in distribution and production operations.
- A degree level education would be an advantage.
- Formal leadership training such as ILM supported by qualifications in managing safety such as NEBOSH or similar.
- Training, and evidence of delivery in continuous improvement and lean tools such as Six Sigma or WCM.
- Excellent project management skills. Experience in delivering WMS or SAP implementation would be a distinct advantage.
- A good understanding of standards and compliance for quality, safety, and environmental including audit processes (ISO9001/14001).
- Excellent change management skills.
