Salary: £35,000 per annum pro rata 3 days per week
Job Description:
New Forest Mencap is a small but growing charity covering the New Forest in Hampshire. We are looking to recruit an experienced, progressive and innovative manager with relevant experience and skills to oversee and deliver an exciting programme of service development supporting people with a learning disability.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Delivering the core objectives and goals of New Forest Mencap. monitoring progress and recommending new developments to enhance our work.
- Managing a team of 4 part time staff, including inductions and appraisals and regular meetings
- Providing advice and support to the Gateway Clubs and the Mencap Charity shop
- Acting as designated safeguarding lead for New Forest Mencap
- Writing and submitting grant reports to funding bodies, liaising with programme leads and clients.
- Reporting to the chair of trustees, attending trustee meetings and providing regular reports as required.
- Ensuring efficient and effective running of 2 sites and managing within agreed budgets and expenditure.
- Ability to manage confidentiality and in compliance with GDPR requirements.

Skills and experience required:
- Appropriate qualification, successful experience of managing in charitable/voluntary sector
- Knowledge and understanding of the learning disability community
- Experience of developing effective partnerships
- Experience of successful team management
- Ability to prioritise and organise effectively and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and maintain budgets

Job Type: Part time, fixed term contract, 2 years in first instance
