Are you a natural leader with strategic and operational experience of estates and facilities management? Our client - a small, growing and dynamic trust in East London, comprising of four schools, is seeking to appoint an exceptional Operations Manager to deliver an outstanding management service, ensuring all sites run efficiently and effectively.
As part of the Trust’s Executive Team, duties include:
- Providing the strategic lead for estates and facilities management across the Trust.
- Lead, develop and motivate the estate’s facilities team of 12 staff.
- Providing strategic leadership on all matters relating to the estate to ensure the efficient operation and management of the existing and developing property portfolio.
- Leading the Trust’s investment in estates through the development, monitoring and management of capital and maintenance expenditure programmes.
- Ensuring all estate services are managed effectively, including third party contracts overseeing cleaning, catering and Health & Safety.
- Reviewing policies and procedures for Estates & Facilities, ensuring they are relevant, updated and comply with all relevant legislation and are implemented consistently across schools.
- Establishing a lettings policy that maximises revenue for the Trust and managing the external lettings contract across all schools.
The Operations Manager will be NEBOSH qualified or equivalent, with relevant experience in an estates and facilities leadership role, coupled with a good understanding of the educational environment.
You will possess a sound working knowledge of Health & Safety policy and best practice with a successful track record in procuring ‘best value’ contract services. You will evaluate performance and negotiate solutions with suppliers effectively and prioritise, plan and organise with meticulous attention to detail. Demonstrating excellent ICT and communication skills, both oral and written, including presentational skills, you will deliver inspirational leadership for the Trust.
