The FMC Network are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager within the M&E sector. They will be responsible for the overall management of the project teams including (but not limited to) M&E services, refurbishment works and Facilities Management. They will be responsible for all reactive, PPM and project works that are required.
This senior position will directly line manage a number of Contract/Project Managers who will have responsibility for the ongoing management of major contracts/projects to ensure a high quality of service is maintained while seeking out new clients and developing the business. This post will manage both clients and staff to ensure desired profit margins are maintained.
Main Responsibilities
- Keep up to date with developments in legislation, practices and technology and ensuring that our reactive, PPM and project service remains up to date with industry standards.
- Work within the given P&L, be commercially astute and manage the finances of numerous projects.
- Oversee all aspects of quality management for each discipline in order to satisfy accrediting bodies and other governing standards.
- Providing a technical lead for services, ensuring all works comply with current legislation as well as working to Norse policies.
- Work on numerous projects including refurbishment, fire alarm installations and more.
- Ensure compliance with all current statutory and industry standard requirements and guidance.
- Take responsibility for the departmental budgets, maximising efficiency through effective use of technology and utilisation of resources.
- Ensure that business plan targets are agreed each year and an action plan is developed and implemented aimed at achieving the business plan targets.
- Ensure that business systems and databases are kept current and up to date.
- Ensure all client requirements are achieved ensuring that they are delivered to agreed deadlines, timescales and to the standard of the agreed brief.
- Identify regulatory/statutory developments, assess the impact to the business and initiate necessary changes or seek to ensure that relevant managers initiate such changes.
