We are a registered charity with a mission to tackle disadvantage in rural Warwickshire communities. WRCC has grown significantly in the last 2 years and we are looking for an Operations Manager to help us continue on that journey.
The postholder will initially have responsibility for the Warm Hubs project and Community Food Fleet.
Warm Hubs provide safe and warm places for people to meet in their community and establish groups that can attract all the benefits of communities coming together. We supported over 80 Winter Warm Hubs this year and have established a firm foundation for the project to continue to grow whilst maximising the impact of energy advice and support.
In August 2023, we launched our new meals-on-wheels service, providing a hot meal and safe & well check 365 days a year to customers across Warwickshire. We need to continue to grow the customer base and look for ways to add value by linking services.
Own transport is essential as travel will be required across Warwickshire.

Key Responsibilities
- To develop strategic and business plans for WRCC services, lead on their implementation and monitor their delivery
- To develop project budgets, schedule expenditure and manage financial performance
- To develop tenders for new public service contracts
- To collect data to evaluate service performance and identify areas for improvement
- To manage relationships with project funders and partners to ensure continued support
- To deliver performance and monitoring reports to funders and partners
- To manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure security and maximise value for money
- To develop strategies to improve project and service performance
- To line manage project staff within selected service areas, being responsible for recruitment, training, development and discipline

The Person
- Direct experience of developing financial sustainability and resilience
- Project management experience
- Extensive experience in leading teams
- Experience of managing a risk register and undertaking H&S audits
- Demonstrable experience of organisational development
- Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) & ability to use social media.
- Knowledge of the VCS and its funding mechanisms
- Access to independent transport and the ability to travel throughout Warwickshire & Solihull
