Main duties and responsibilities

This an opportunity for a motivated, organised individual with initiative, an eye for detail, and operational and service excellence to join our growing team.

  • Salary: £24,000 FTE

We provide short academic courses to motivated students from across the world and you will be instrumental to ensuring we deliver a consistently high-quality programme to our youngest learners, aged 9‒12, across three boarding school sites across west London and Windsor. Main duties include:

  • Staff recruitment and onboarding - Assisting with the on-course staff selection, including interviews and documentation gathering
  • Stakeholder relations - Maintaining good relationships with staff members, host colleges and other suppliers via email, phone and in person
  • Record keeping - Maintaining accurate records, including for compliance with safeguarding obligations
  • React to early signs of issues - Taking steps to mitigate or escalate them as needed
  • Planning - Assist with the social and cultural programme for students aged 9‒12.
  • Bookings - Book and confirm activities, travel and restaurants
  • Inventory management - Assist in managing large amounts of information and equipment, including building into packs for course delivery
  • Site presence - During our core delivery period (July-August), assist with setup and closure (weekends)

Person specification

About you:

  • You’re personable, with a strong team mentality and work ethic
  • You have an appreciation of uncompromising high standards and excellent quality
  • You’re highly organised, with strong task management skills and great attention to detail
  • You’re comfortable and competent communicating in person, on the phone and by email
  • You’re able to work well with colleagues both in person and remotely
  • You learn fast and can give constructive feedback

Essential:

  • Pragmatic and can-do attitude with a growth mindset
  • Willingness to spend time away from home over the summer, and to drive between school sites (must have a UK driving licence)
  • Experience of proactive problem solving and taking the initiative
  • Good IT proficiency

Desirable:

  • Worked at a summer school or other short course involving international students
  • Experience of teaching this age group (EFL or school system)
  • Teacher or teaching assistant training (PGCE or similar)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRMs, GSuite and Slack
