Form of workAn opportunity is available for an Operator based at Ty Coch, Cwmbran Plant Centre.
As an Operator, you will be involved primarily in the assembly of package substations and associated equipment. You will also refurbish, scrap and decommission plant. You will ideally have some experience in an electrical field.
To apply, you will need to hold English & Maths GCSE (1-9/G-A*) or equivalent qualification deemed to be at the same level in these subjects, such as Functional Skills.
Evidence of your qualifications will be required prior to appointment.
If you are offered a position, you will be required to successfully complete a basic DBS check that shows any unspent convictions or conditional cautions.

Main ResponsibilitiesYou will be involved in the movement, loading and unloading of equipment. You will assist in the preparation and marshalling of finished assemblies.
The positions will be depot based. The working environment requires an orderly and methodical individual. Normally working alone, the quality and reliability of the work done is imperative.
After initial training you may be required to assist the craftsperson on a rotational basis.
The Ideal CandidateSome experience of assembly work and forklift experience is desirable. However, full training will be provided.
