Position: Optical Assistant
Location: Godalming
Salary: 23,800 - 26,500 + Bonus ( 1500 - 3000 per annum) depending on experience
Working hours: 40 hours per week (5 days to include 1 weekend day)
Opening hours:
Monday - Saturday 08:50 - 17:30
Sunday: 08:50 - 17:00
Please note that part time and flexible hours are available
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting customers with frame selection, lens options, and eye care products.
Conducting pre-screening tests and providing support during eye examinations.
Advising customers on lens coatings, contact lenses, and aftercare solutions.
Processing orders, managing appointments, and maintaining accurate customer records.
Supporting the store team with administrative tasks and ensuring a clean and organized environment.
Delivering exceptional customer service and building rapport with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within the optical industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for eye care and a desire to make a positive impact on customers' lives.
Flexibility to work weekends and occasional evenings as per the store's requirements.
A commitment to ongoing training and development to enhance knowledge and skills within the role.
