Outage and Retrofit Engineer - Energy from Waste

Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading Servicing Company to recruit an Outage and Retrofit Engineer for its UK servicing team.

The Outage and Retrofit Engineer role comes with a starting salary of up to �62,000 + car allowance + private medical.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting directly to the Service Manager you will be responsible for:

* Manages the on-site servicing team, working closely with the Service Managers / Project Managers in delivering outage service activities within time and budget guidelines.
* Assists Service Manager in creating Outage and Retrofit bids (including calculations)
* Assists Service Manager / Project Manager in continuous improvement.
* Assists Service Manager / Project Manager applying continuous change control and list cost management, within affecting customer relationships.
* Ensures RAMS are reviewed, and all work carried out abides by associated RAMS.
* Responsible for Safety and HSE performance of all personnel under your control and stopping work when this is compromised.
* Demonstrates leadership and commitment to HSEQ, and actively encourages and leads the client and contractor team.
* Implements standardised engineering methods in order to identify complex problems.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

* HND / Degree in relevant engineering disciplines i.e. Process or Mechanical Engineering.
* At least 5 years’ experience working on outages / large CAPEX projects
* An IOSH or NEBOSH qualification would be beneficial

The Outage and Retrofit Engineer role would suit someone who is:

* Highly motivated with strong attention to detail
