Forest School Practitioner

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Forest School Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Qualification in Forest School or Outdoor Education and a love for the great outdoors. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about delivering high-quality outdoor learning experiences to children and young people.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan and deliver engaging outdoor learning activities in line with the Forest School ethos.
- Create a safe and stimulating outdoor learning environment for children of various ages.
- Encourage and support children in exploring and learning through play and hands-on experiences in a natural setting.
- Assess and manage risks associated with outdoor activities to ensure the safety of all participants.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to integrate Forest School principles into the wider curriculum.
- Maintain and care for Forest School equipment and resources.
- Monitor and document children’s progress and development through observation and record-keeping.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A Level 3 Qualification in Forest School or Outdoor Education.
- Experience in delivering Forest School or outdoor learning programmes.
- Strong understanding of child development and the benefits of outdoor learning.
- First Aid qualification, ideally with a focus on outdoor environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development in the field of Outdoor Education.
