Job description
We are recruiting an Outreach & Engagement Practitioner in Northern Ireland to provide advice, brief and extended brief interventions to women affected by gambling harms, in a range of settings as well as identifying the need for more structured interventions and facilitating seamless referral through to the service and managing a client caseload where required. This role will establish and build relationships with key organisations and professional services in Northern Ireland, to raise awareness of gambling harms and support the increase the referral of women into our support services. The Women’s Pathway delivers awareness raising training for professionals and peer-support groups for women across the UK. The Outreach and Engagement Practitioner will work collaboratively with the training provision and holistic support spaces to ensure a joined-up offer to women and professionals. .

Professional qualification in Health, Social Care, Psychology, Youth or Community Care, e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above or Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, Addiction Studies or relevant work experienceIf no qualifications - demonstrable experience of working in the field of health or social care with a commitment to continuous professional developmentExperience of community-based work, working productively with local services, initiatives and cultural sensitivities to develop collaboration and partnerships opportunities.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including the ability to present to and tailor content for a range of professional and public audiences on sensitive topicsExcellent time management, planning and organisational skills including the ability to manage competing prioritiesEngaging stakeholders at operational level internally and externally to promote service and collaboration, and to ensure effective support pathwaysAnalytical thinking - able to identify opportunities to improve performance and enhance the service provided to clients
