SalaryWe have a new exciting position for a fantastic client based in Peterborough, do you have Packaging Technology experience at Manager Level? This could be the role for you!
Duties:
* Maintain awareness of developments in packaging technologies & legislation
* Set the strategy for our packaging agenda
* Be the business expert in relation to WRAP compliance and Extended Producer Responsibility and actively drive projects to mitigate exposure
* Own all packaging waste, PRN, EPR data and the submission of the data
* Maintain an overview of packaging capabilities within our supply chain
* Act as the technical interface with packaging suppliers as required
* Ensure that all materials used are legally compliant and appropriate declarations of conformity are held.
* Support all packaging related aspects of projects from concept to launch
* Own and manage our third-party artwork provider and the artwork approval process
* Support the internal safety culture by adhering to safe working practices and demonstrating a personal commitment to health and safety
* Support our commitment to Inclusion and developing Diversity in our organisation
Qualifications:
* Understanding of EU/UK food packaging legislation
* Working experience in the FMCG Industry sector and experience in different packaging formats (e.g. film flexible packaging, carton board primary packaging and different secondary and tertiary packaging formats)
* IT literate Skills and Experience
* Able to demonstrate management of projects from concept through to launch; ideally with project management skills
* Proactive and able to work on own initiative managing and supporting complex projects cross functionally.
* A completer / finisher capable of presenting data with evidence-based decision-making processes.
* A strong communicator and influencer, this person must be at ease navigating internal and external customers to drive execution.
The individual should:
* Hold a full driving licence (supplier / site visits) * Be able to travel internationally (passport) * Have an attention to detail * Be enthusiastic
£50,000 -£55,000 salary
Hybrid Working but based in Peterborough
Monday to Friday - 9-5 however a flexible approach to working hours, depending on business need. Core working hours are between 10am-3pm.
