Paediatric Superintendent Radiographer

To deliver an efficient and effective service within the modality. Organise, plan and prioritise workload according to clinical need. Take responsibility for and organise sections of the department as required. Monitor the capacity and demand of the service and assist in reviewing working practices to accommodate any shift in requirements. To take responsibility for appropriate escalation in accordance with the department procedure and communicate actions. Participate in the Duty Superintendent Roster at the LRI. To assume day to day management of staff within the modality. To be responsible for the care and comfort of the patient whilst they are in the Radiology Department respecting their privacy, dignity, religious and cultural beliefs. To contribute fully in the regular setting, monitoring and review of performance and quality management of all aspects of the service. To develop, document and monitor protocols for working practice within the area. To supervise, advise and mentor staff. To work closely with the other Superintendent Radiographers to provide optimum patient care and constantly seek ways of improving standards and performance. To ensure that staff are aware of the Trusts procedures and ensure that complaints are dealt with in accordance with these procedures. please see job description/person specification for full details on the role
