Job description

Role: Social Media Specialist

Location: Hybrid - Brighton and Remote

Type: Permanent - Full time

Job Role

We’re looking for a dynamic and results-driven Social Media Specialist - one who’s bursting with creativity, able to drive performance and support the wider team in their development. You will be responsible for leading large client accounts, working alongside more junior members of the team. You will be developing and implementing effective strategies to drive performance, increase engagement, and enhance brand visibility for our diverse portfolio of clients across various Social Media platforms. You will also be collaborating with other channel specialists to align strategies to achieve overall client objectives.

In this role, you’ll use your pre-existing experience in developing and implementing successful Social Media strategies across various platforms and coordinate activity across both paid and organic social. As part of our Organic Social Media Management Service, you’ll be supporting the team in developing content for different platforms like Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Pinterest, and Tiktok. This will include staying on top of trends, leading brainstorming sessions, and helping drive visual direction. You’ll be responsible for finding opportunities for clients to grow and engage their Social Media audiences.

On the other hand, you will develop and execute comprehensive advertising campaigns across Meta, Pinterest, TikTok (and more!) as part of our Paid Social Media Service. You’ll be an important part of driving commercial success for clients, working closely with other departments like PPC and SEO. You’ll also assess and analyse client data to determine areas of opportunity, generate reports and forecast future KPIs for clients to aid in growth.

Finally, you’ll actively support the growth of our agency by pitching to potential new clients and creating upsells to pre-existing clients when the time is right.

The Responsibilities

  • Taking an active role in business development, developing and presenting pitch proposals
  • Onboarding newly won clients, ensuring technical and creative set-up is done effectively
  • Leading and coordinating day-to-day activity across paid and organic social accounts
  • Auditing client accounts and suggesting tailored strategies to improve performance
  • Coaching other team members and assisting their development in Seed
  • Proactively recommending new marketing strategies and tactics to deliver exceptional results for clients
  • Providing creative direction and working closely with our in-house design team in order to strengthen overall organic and paid strategies
  • Collaborating with other teams (PPC and SEO) for a holistic approach across multi-channel clients
  • Liaising with clients via email or Slack, ensuring they’re kept up to date on our activities, and presenting monthly reports to them
  • Building and optimising Paid Social campaigns on Meta, Pinterest, and Tiktok
  • Putting together content calendars, which involves brainstorming and copywriting
  • Creating copywriting and design briefs to share with creative team
  • Mining and analysing data across different platforms; more importantly providing actionable insights for optimisation
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends, innovations, and best practices in Social Media marketing

The Requirements

  • 2-5 years experience working on Social Media
  • Keen interest in Social Media - having a presence on key Social Media platforms, knowing the latest trends, and familiarity with local and international content creators
  • Well-versed in utilising ads platforms, business managers and organic platforms
  • Basic photo and video editing skills - using tools like Canva, iMovie, even native editing tools on Instagram or Tiktok
  • Great communication skills - you’ll be exposed to client meetings and working closely with various members of the wider team
  • Meticulous attention to detail - spotting typos on captions, tagging the right brands on sponsored posts, correcting UTM parameters… just a few things that ensure we’re helping our clients have their best foot forward on Social Media
  • Organisational skills and sensitivity to timelines - having the ability to manage your own time, as well as that of others when necessary, would greatly help your day-to-day work
  • Analytical understanding - showcasing the ability to extract meaningful insights from Social Media metrics to create reports on platforms like Looker Studio and Sprout Social and forecasts for clients
