A vehicle Paint Mixer will be required to mix paint for a wide variety of vehicles in a fast paced environment. The Paint Mixer will need to work in tandem with the painters to achieve required results.
Make sure all work is carried out to a good standard of workmanship and within Heath and Safety guidelines.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Read and understand job instructions prior to starting job.
- Identify colour codes on a wide range of vehicles.
- Colour match using colour chips and spectrometer.
- Mix paint for daily production
- Collect tinter’s from paint stores and replace tinter’s on mixing scheme
- Carry out test cards when none are available
- Carry out quality checks on painted vehicles to maintain a good standard of workmanship.
- Keep housekeeping of the mixing room and equipment to a high standard.
- Ensure good standards of workmanship.
- Ensure all work is carried out within health & safety guidelines.
- Undertaking any other ad hoc tasks as requested by Management and senior staff.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in motor repairs or equivalent
- Computer literate
- Knowledge and experience of colour mixing including colour matching
- Previous paint experience
- Good colour vision
- Have the ability to understand and correct different colour shades
- Valid Driving Licence
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Self motivation
