An interesting new opportunity has arisen for a Paint Test & Analytical Chemist at a leading coatings manufacturer based in Essex. As a Paint Test & Analytical Chemist you will be responsible for providing Paint Testing services to various departments within the business. You will also be responsible for maintaining a database for the laboratory work recordings.
To be considered for the Paint Test & Analytical position you will have previous experience testing materials within a laboratory environment. You will also have knowledge of paint chemistry or other relevant subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote safe working practices of laboratory equipment and materials whilst ensuring the laboratory is well-organised.
- Testing of finished products and provide solutions to any problems arisen within production.
- Conduct analytical tests of materials, interpret their results, and produce reports accordingly.
- Liaise between team members from different departments within the business and external services.
- Operate analytical equipment.
- Manage stock levels and ensure the accuracy of equipment and materials.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Prior experience within a testing laboratory environment.
- Experience with end product/ mechanical testing.
- Knowledge of paint chemistry, or other polymer/chemical subjects, is highly desirable.
