My client is recruiting for a Paralegal/Caseworker in their Human Rights and Civil liberties team to join their Ealing, London office.
The team is highly regarded and rated as a national leader in all aspects of Human Rights and Civil liberties law. There is the possibility that this position could lead to a training contract at a later date.
About the Firm
The department at the firm was established in 10+ years ago and has, over the last decade, grown in both scale and reputation. The department consists of a number of specialist Solicitors, of whom are ranked as specialists by Chambers and Partners, and a team of support staff. This recruitment drive correlates directly with the continued growth and success of the department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The role will consist of assisting the fee earners in the team with case preparation, including administrative tasks, legal research, client liaison, drafting statements, processing evidence, collating and ordering documentation / evidence, attending conferences and court, preparing application forms, evidence and uploads, assisting with legal aid applications and preparing files for legal aid billing. From time to time the post holder may be asked to assist other members of the team.
You will need to:
• be highly motivated, proactive, self-servicing, enthusiastic,
• have excellent communication, organisation and administrative skills,
• have a flexible and professional attitude,
• be able to work on confidential matters and under pressure together with a keen eye for detail.
• Preferably have completed the LPC
