  • Up to £40,000 per annum – Plus benefits detailed below

Who are We?

We specialise in providing financial services to some of the nation’s most trusted professions: GPs, hospital doctors, dentists and teachers, and have been doing this since 1841. Our customers are extraordinary - the people who shape the world we live in for the better. We chose to shape our world around the exceptional.

We currently employ around 1400 people, and our success comes from a history of evolving to embrace new challenges. Transformation is key to how we work, so no matter what your job title might be, if you are someone who can help us shape the future, you’ll fit right in and have a voice here.

We are proud supporters of the ABI Making Flexible Work campaign which means we are open to discuss flexible working, job shares and part time options. We also support hybrid ways of working, where you can split your week working from home and the office.

Your Role:

Due to internal career progression, we have an exceptional opportunity for a Paraplanner to join our 1st Line risk department at Wesleyan.

Working alongside our Specialist Financial Advisers (SFAs) you will provide them with case preparation support, conducting analysis, performing calculations, and creating reports for our high-net-worth clients.

In addition to preparing complex cases, you will be required to provide technical support to the Financial Advisers; this role provides an opportunity for you to join at a period of expansion, dealing with more complex FA support, sharing knowledge and coaching. Developing strong working relationships, proactively seeking to support others with the aim of delivering the best customer experience, both internally and externally, is crucial for success.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Case and meeting preparation support
  • Creating reports
  • Working on complex advice cases such as estate planning, pensions, investment replacement (and more)

We know the best teams are made up of inclusive groups of diverse people where everyone’s contribution counts, and we believe everyone has the right to proudly be themselves. We’re building a culture where difference is actively encouraged and simply recruit the best people for the job irrespective of lifestyle, life history and life choices.

We understand that there are a wide range of reasons that you may require reasonable adjustments to the recruitment process- please let us know in your application how we can best support you.

We’re looking for:

  • Experience within a Financial Services role is essential
  • Experience of working with Paraplanners or Financial Advisers is highly advantageous
  • Studying towards or qualified in DipFA Level 4 (or equivalent)
  • Strong technical knowledge in all areas of financial planning, an ability to clearly communicate this knowledge to both financial consultants and other internal stakeholders

The financials on offer:

  • Annual salary of up to £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience), reviewed annually
  • Annual Performance based Bonus – eligibility dependent on start and end date of contract
  • A great pension scheme – company matched plus 2% (up to 10%).

When you’re working in the office, we’re based on Colmore Circus Queensway in Birmingham

  • Close to rail links: 0.1 mile from Snowhill and 0.5 mile from New Street
  • Free onsite car parking available (bookable in advance to secure your spot)

Please note that some of our benefits are subject to eligibility, depending on what time of the year you join, and how long your contract is.
