SalaryA high growth Retail business that I'm delighted to be partnered with are looking to add a Part Qualified Management Accountant to their growing team on an initial 12 month contract with the view to permanent employment beyond this period.
Based in their state of the art office space in the city of Manchester (central), you will be responsible for providing full end-to-end Management accounts with the support of a high functioning finance team.
**This role includes full study support, so is ideal for candidates looking to fast-track their studies in either CIMA or ACCA**
As the Part Qualified Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties...
- Preparation and reviewing month end results, including balance sheet control and P&L analysis for the assigned entities of the group.
- You will take ownership of the work for your entities such as Payroll and VAT reconciliation and are the first line of analysis and review, providing valuable support to the Senior Finance team.
- The role is key in understanding business performance and allowing the organisation to make quality informed decisions.
- As a Management Accountant you will liaise with the sub-ledger teams such as AP/AR and Treasury and work along with the other Management Accountants in the team for completion of the tasks and achieving month end deadlines.
- You will possess a 'can-do' attitude, with a high level of attention to detail, enabling the preparation of high-quality management accounts and insight into business performance.
- Through your work you will be responsible for identifying areas of process improvement and working with the Senior Finance team, design improvement and ensure new processes are implement that enhance controls, reduce manual intervention and drive departmental efficiencies.
- You will be expected to support with Ad-hoc projects requirements and also helping with the year end audit queries.
To be considered for this role you must have the following...
- studying towards the accountancy qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Good Excel skills required for this role as you will be providing lots of analysis as well as monthly reporting.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills.
- Good technical accounting knowledge.
- Prior experience in a similar finance position (desirably in Retail sector).
