Our esteemed client, a leading accounting firm based in the heart of Edinburgh, is on the lookout for a vibrant and dedicated Trainee/Part-Qualified Chartered Accountant to join their team.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a vital member of our client's team, you'll engage directly with clients, providing expert financial advice and assisting them in navigating the intricacies of bookkeeping, VAT, management accounts, statutory accounts, and both business and personal tax matters.

Your role will encompass preparing financial accounts, managing budgets, analysing financial performance, and offering valuable insights to guide clients in their business decisions.

Perks and Working Hours:

  • Full-time on-site position in the heart of Edinburgh City Centre
  • Monday to Friday, with flexible hours from 9 am to 4 pm (condensed hours option available)

  • Competitive salary ranging from £22,000 to £30,000, depending on your experience and qualifications

Qualifications We're Looking For:

  • Solid understanding of accountancy principles and practices
  • Previous experience in a practice setting
  • Chartered Accountant qualification (ICAS/ACCA/CIMA etc.) or in the process of obtaining it, or someone qualified by experience
  • Proven experience in managing budgets and financial planning, with expertise in forecasting and analysis
  • Stellar communication skills, fostering lasting relationships with clients
  • Proficient in IT, especially in the use of accounting software (Xero experience is a plus)
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience working with diverse clients from various sectors and industries
