Part Time Accountant

CMA are currently working with a Southampton based design company who boast some globally recognised brands within their client portfolio.  They are looking to appoint a Part time Management Accountant to manage the accounting function in an end to end capacity.  You will process the day to day transactions through to the preparation of the management accounts including a small payroll.  This is a stand alone role where you will have full autonomy for the finance function along with the support of an external accountancy practice.  

What will the Part Time Accountant role involve?

• Preparation of management accounts to include account reconciliations.
• Accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and delivering the P&L written commentary.
• Oversee the purchase ledger through to payment runs.
• Processing a small monthly payroll for salaried staff including pension deductions.
• Monitor expenditure and track any variances to budget.
• Raise sales invoices and reconcile fees.
• Quarterly VAT returns.
• Supporting with the annual audit.
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis tasks.

Suitable Candidate for the Part Time Accountant vacancy: 

• Experience of managing an end to end finance function within an SME environment.
• Prior experience of preparing the management accounts.
• Proficient in the use Sage.
