Part Time Assistant Financial Accountant

CMA are currently working with an outstanding organisation who are seeking to appoint a part time Assistant Financial Accountant.  Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an additional head within their finance team.  This is a unique opportunity for a CIMA or ACCA studier in the early stages of their accounting career who is looking for a Part time opportunity.  Hands on financial accounting experience within industry is essential.  The role will require the job holder to work 16 hours per week but these hours can be condensed across a few days or across five days. 
What will the Assistant Financial Accountant role involve?

• Assist in the preparation of the statutory accounts for the UK legal entities;
• Balance sheet reconciliations on fixed assets, intra-company accounts;
• Support the management of the capital investment process;
• Perform VAT compliance tests and assist in the preparation of the quarterly VAT return;
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations;
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly schedules;
• Undertake special financial projects and tasks as required by the finance manager or other senior team members.

Suitable Candidate for the Payroll Assistant vacancy:

• Applicants will hold professional qualifications ACCA/CIMA, or similar with familiarity in tax regulations and VAT;
• You will also need to be a confident and self-motivated team player, possessing excellent communication skills together with strong organisational ability;
• A flexible approach will also be required in order to meet demanding deadlines.
