SalarySheridan Maine are recruiting for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join a fantastic group reporting team.
This role offers a hybrid working pattern of 4 days working from home and 1 day in the office.
Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Accountant will include:
- Assisting in the preparation of the statutory accounts
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations including VAT control accounts, including submission, payments and handling queries
- Monthly journal review process
- Supporting the Financial Accountant with the preparation of all the groups entity VAT returns
- Day to day maintenance of the finance reporting and budgeting system
- Preparing budgets and forecasts
- Identifying opportunities for improvements
The successful Assistant Financial Accountant should possess the following skills and experience:
- Part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or studying
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to establish and build relationships across the business
- A collaborative and solution oriented mindset
- Advanced Excel skills and good all round IT knowledge
- Ability to analyse, interpret and present information clearly and concisely
