Part Time Bartender

Here at Prohibition Cabaret Bar we are seeking two skilled and customer-oriented Bartenders to join our award winning team. As one of our bartenders, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our lovely customers, making and serving drinks to order and making sure the bar is always well presented, clean and tidy. If you have a passion for all things live entertainment, have experience working in a bar, live venue, private hire and event space, have excellent communication and customer service skills and enjoy working with canny people we would love to hear from you.

Here at Prohibition we're a tight little team. We're oldskool, we work hard and we and do things properly so would discourage applications from clock-watchers, shoe-glazers and phone-scrollers. We're all about a can-do attitude and we believe in taking pride and ownership in our work.

The role involves, but is not limited to, the following:

Responsibilities:

- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner

- Take drink orders from customers and provide recommendations

- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer order

- Ensure the bar area is clean, well-stocked, and organised at all times

- Adhere to all hygiene and sanitation guidelines

- Wash glassware, check and restock bathrooms on a rota, assist in end of shift clean down

- Handle cash and card transactions accurately

- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods

- Engage with customers in a positive manner, ensuring their satisfaction throughout their visit

- Work with other team members to ensure efficient service and all clean down tasks are complete at end of shift

Skills:

- Time management: Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a live entertainment environment

- Hospitality: A friendly and welcoming demeanor towards customers and a can do attitude

- Helpfulness: Willingness to assist customers with their inquiries or requirements

- Bar experience: Familiarity with licensed premises operations and procedures

making drinks, and using bar equipment, tills, etc.

We offer an hourly wage above NMW and a fair share of accumulated tips. All staff are entitled to an end of shift beverage on shift and 25% staff discount on personal drinks when visiting the bar off shift.

The post is part-time and will include weekend shifts and occasional week nights depending on staff cover / holidays.

This is NOT a zero hour position. You will be contracted to at least one guaranteed shift per week.

Pay: £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 15 per week
