ACE Vets are excited to be recruiting a Part Time Receptionist to join our team in North Down.

At ACE Vets we are proudly independent, with four well established and thriving clinics in Newtownards, Comber, Donaghadee and East Belfast. We love what we do, and we pride ourselves on our excellent patient care and our high-quality service.

About you:

You will have a strong organisational instinct and your ability to build strong relationships with our clients, their pets and the practice team will be critical to your success. You will guide the customer journey and offer support, guidance and expertise, managing payments and future bookings confidently. You will have a strong history of customer service and be competent in the use of MS Office or similar. In an environment which is often emotionally stressful for clients and pets, the ability to remain calm, confident and friendly under pressure is essential.

You will be mainly based in our Comber branch, working on a rota basis with some evening (until 7pm) and Saturday (until 2pm) shifts. Flexibility between our clinics in Newtownards, Donaghadee & East Belfast is an essential.

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent (including Maths and English).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload.
• Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous experience working in a busy reception environment managing phone calls and cash handling.
• Full UK driving licence & own car.
• ICT qualifications.

• 25 hours minimum per week, with a scheduled 1 in 4 Saturday off.
