Stores Operative
Pertemps are seeking a Stores Operative to join our clients team based in Donnington. This is a great opportunity to join an industry leading FMCG company on a temporary ongoing basis.
You will be required to support the stores operations with duties including moving, sorting, and tidying stock and pallets ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times. The successful candidate will also progress to booking in of items using systems and assist engineers as requested.
Hours Mon-Fri, 24 hours p/w. Flexible between 08:00-16:00!!
Salary £12.60p/h
Ongoing temp, three monthly rolling contract.
Duties, not limited to:

• Booking items into stores and putting them away in their correct locations.
• Label up items booked into stores without locations and put with items awaiting location.
• Ensure items booked into stores for engineers are placed on the collections shelf and marked accordingly.
• Produce delivery notes with information such as material number, location, recipient, order number etc.
• Book items out of stores using an excel spreadsheet and paper document, ensuring both are kept up to date with what is booked out.
• Check stock levels to ensure physical and digital quantities are correct.
• Placed items booked for maintenance work are labelled for the correct job.
• Conduct stock takes; identify mixed items and restore back to correct location, input data onto PC, recount anomalies.
• Man the stores window and assist which enquiries including identifying spare parts, delivery of spares, collect items and deliver to colleagues/send down materials lift.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness or orderliness of working and storage areas throughout the day.

Ideal Candidate:

• Will have previous experience working in a fast-paced stores environment.
• IT literate and able to pick up new systems and processes with ease as 80% of this position will utilise computers.
• Able to work at speed ensuring accuracy and a keen eye for detail at all times.
• A team player, reliable and committed.
• Can prioritise own workload of daily tasks.
