Stores Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship
Hope Works is the largest Cement Works in the UK and as part of the Stores Team you will also work closely with operational teams and colleagues to ensure that parts and materials are available to support the weekly, monthly and annual maintenance activities.
Following the L2 Supply Chain & Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship you will learn the skills and knowledge needed to ensure that the stores facilities are operated safely and that the inventory is well stored and maintained. You will also help to ensure that Stocks and Materials levels are kept to the correct qualities and specifications and are readily available in time to service the works maintenance requirements that will sustain and improve performance.

As an Apprentice Stores Operative, you’ll support the vital need to uphold quarry and cement site production. You will:
- Learn about the industrial processes and the aim of our business
- Operate an engineering stores facility
- Be trained to operate the machinery required e.g.; counterbalance and side shift forklifts
- Work with bespoke engineering components and suppliers from all over the world
- Use a wide variety of our IT systems
- Learn about goods movements procedures
If you’re one to tiptoe around puddles with trepidation, maybe this role isn’t for you. You won’t be spending every day in a clean, corporate office swivelling on an office chair! If you have a natural affinity with the great outdoors, in all weathers, then now we’re talking!
Do You Offer…?
- At least five GCSEs, grades 3-9/A-D
- A demonstrable interest in manufacturing industry – via work experience
