Position Summary
The role of the Account Manager is responsible for maintaining deep customer relationships to drive account revenue retention and growth. By collaborating with internal stakeholders, the Account Manager delivers exceptional service and a valuable solution. The position will manage a defined book of business aligned by customer segment within a geography and will be accountable for the commercial close of all deals. You will get exposure to larger solution opportunities and introduce Solution and Proposition Sales. This team is responsible for our Partner Accounts whose solutions or services are powered or enabled in some way by LSEG's Data & Analytics feeds.
What you will be doing?
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the customer decision maker's strategies, priorities and needs. Also, executes go-to-market plans for assigned accounts
- This hire will be responsible for portfolio that includes Partner Accounts and Redistributors
- Maintain solid understanding of LSEG/Refinitiv propositions to initiate conversations and raise interest.
- Maintain a solid understanding of LSEG/Refinitiv Redistribution and Third Party licensing requirements ensuring compliant agreement and terms for all Partner Accounts in their portfolio.
- Build and embed a long-term trusted advisor relationship within their accounts
- Drive growth by expanding LSEG/ Refinitiv footprint within their accounts and where appropriate downstream via the Partner's solution.
- Focus on maintaining overall customer engagement and expanding and retaining managed net revenue
- Oversee all commercial activities within accounts, owning the end-to-end direct customer relationship in close collaboration with LSEG's Partners Group.
- Drive efficiency in account administration and manage internal and external stakeholders and maintain networks to negotiate and close deals
- Accountable and responsible for simple order taking
- Responsible for full sales cycle and completing all Account Plans
- Owns the customer lifecycle framework and ensures strong renewal execution, minimizing cancellations
- Good understanding of the financial markets and key industry / Fintech trends with minimum of 5 years + experience as an Account Manager within finance industry
- Proven account management, sales or marketing experience in a customer facing environment required
- Strong interpersonal skills such as relationship building, ability to sell appropriately and strong negotiation skills
- Problem solving--ability to understand, articulate, structure and solve client needs
- Presentation and communication skills: ability to deliver presentations and communicate at all levels within an organization
- University/college degree may be required, equivalent experience may be considered depending on position/department
- English-speaking candidates required for this role with additional European Languages a plus.
