We are looking for a talented and driven Partnership Executive to rapidly grow our partner network to help us to support consumers right across the UK.
Your team:Situated within News UK’s commercial department (The Bridge), the Strategic Development team is tasked with driving revenue through expertise, thought leadership, and innovation whilst creating the foundations for future revenue streams. You will report into the Times Money Mentor Affiliates Manager and work closely with individuals from the team as well as key stakeholders from our broadcasting businesses.
Your role:As Partnership Executive, you will be tasked with driving commercial relationships with key affiliate networks and partners in order to drive revenue, margins and efficiencies. A strong self-starter, you will bring analytical skills, a keen eye for commercial negotiations and a collaborative mindset in order to be able to build great ideas alongside clients and partners to help grow and drive the partnership strategy within the ecommerce and affiliates team.
Day to day you will:
● Support the Affiliates Manager in managing commercial relationships with affiliates and partners, assisting in commercial negotiations and contract management
● Assisting in the onboarding process of new partners and commissioning process
● Manage a portfolio of existing partners and improving the revenue potential from each partner
● Build and maintain a close relationship with affiliate networks, advertisers and agencies
● Working closely with the ecommerce editorial team and analysing the partnership performance data while providing insight for content optimisation and strategy
● Track, analyse and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partner relationships
● Ensure, where appropriate, that regular review meetings with partners/suppliers are held including other team members where necessary.
Key Skills
● Understanding of the affiliate landscape, publishers, merchants and networks ideally within the personal finance industry.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to add value in partnerships
Commercial and analytical mindset with an understanding of the metrics involved in affiliate partnerships
A creative thinker with excellent organisational and time management skills
Comfortable in creating reports and proficient in MS Excel and Powerpoint
● Understanding of FCA compliance & GDPR and the implications and importance of adherence
● Proven experience of partner acquisition with ability to develop partnerships with limited supervision
● Highly commercial and analytical, with demonstrated understanding of the underlying economic metrics involved in affiliate partnerships
● A strong strategic mind with a proven success in driving incremental partnership revenue.
● Creative thinker with ability to build a compelling proposition to influence internally and externally
● Strong ability and motivation to work and exceed revenue targets
● Sales and account management experience & excellent negotiation skills
● Experience in commercial contract management
● Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work effectively
● Comfortable executing reports and working in excel
