A School in East London are wishing to recruit a temporary Pastoral Leader for an immediate start
Description of the job:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and committed Pastoral Leader to join our team, focusing on supporting the Post 16 provisions at our college. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and pragmatic, with a strong dedication to enhancing the wellbeing and educational experience of our learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage educational visits using the Evolve online platform.
- Actively participate in and support parents' evenings and conduct home visits as necessary.
- Maintain a visible presence around the college during form times, engaging with learners and staff.
- Serve as the wellbeing lead, providing a listening ear and support to learners, addressing their concerns and promoting a positive school environment.
- Proficiently use school management systems such as SIMS and PSF for administrative tasks.
- Facilitate the ordering of TFL school party tickets.
- Assist with general filing and administrative duties to ensure smooth operation of the college's Post 16 provision.
- Respond to bursary queries, offering guidance and information to learners and parents.
- Manage and support the Parent Pay system, including issuing letters and handling transactions.
N.B. Any other reasonable pastoral duties as per direction of Vice Principal.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in an educational setting, preferably with experience in pastoral care.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using educational management systems like SIMS and PSF.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with learners, parents, and staff.
- A proactive and problem-solving approach to challenges.
Safeguarding - DBS check and enhanced referencing will be completed on the successful applicant.
