What you will do as a Pastry Junior Sous Chef
- Collaborate with the head pastry chef to create and refine pastry menus, ensuring alignment with seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, and dietary restrictions.
- Oversee daily pastry production, including baking, plating, and presentation, to maintain high-quality standards and consistency across all offerings.
- Provide guidance and training to pastry team members, ensuring proper execution of recipes, techniques, and safety procedures, while also fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Monitor inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies, and assist in ordering and stocking to minimize waste and maintain optimal freshness.
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols in all pastry operations, including storage, preparation, and serving areas, to maintain compliance with health regulations and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
