Job Description
Reporting into the Senior Payments Data Analytics Manager; you will be part of the Digital Risk team. You will identify, extract, manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets to help identify trends and exploit the information they contain.
Managing and developing a framework for periodic analytics and reporting. Responsible for mentoring and supporting the Payments data analyst, you will ensure that regular reporting as well as ad hoc requests are actioned, validated and completed in a timely manner and to a high standard.
As well as helping to monitoring the BAU performance of the business and identifying any emerging trends, you will work alongside the Senior Payments Data Analytics Manager developing ROIs and conducting AB testing to analyse the impact any potential new additions or changes to the group’s payments stack may have.
The output of this work will support the Digital risk team in ensuring that fraud is kept to a minimum, customer journeys are as friction free as possible, improving the key performance indicators of the groups worldwide ecommerce payments.
Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to degree level or equivalent level of education in a relevant business area
- Intermediate/advanced level of Excel skills and conversant with the other MS Office applications.
- SQL and VBA experience and familiarity with relational databases
- Some knowledge of business intelligence, data visualisation or ecommerce platforms(Power BI, Looker, Tableau)
- Strong numerical, statistical, and analytical skills
- Excellent problem-solving ability with an inquisitive nature and an attention to detail
- Knowledge of data modelling, data cleansing, and data enrichment techniques
- Strong interest in self-development and the ability to pick up new skills and learn knew applications
- Experience in or a strong understanding of the skills needed to motivate and manage direct reports
- Able to confidently communicate with wide range of stakeholders with various levels of technical understanding
Desirable
- Coding experience (Pyton, R. etc.)
- Experience in loss prevention, fraud or Card Holder Not Present transactions
- Experience working in an ecommerce and/or retail environment.
- Project management training or experience
- Commercial mindset with an understanding of risk vs reward
- Understanding of data protection issues
- Experience in dealing with Human resource challenges such as poor performance or misconduct
