There is an opening for a Technical Analyst/Engineer to join one of our Payments Product Teams. The role will help support the design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support in either an Agile or a Waterfall development environment. You will be a strong collaborator and require excellent communication skills. We are looking for self-starters who can work independently, with and across teams.

The difference you’ll make.

  • Analysing and supporting design and implementation of solutions based on a variety of payments technologies and Swift related projects.
  • Collaborating with Product team to assist with user story development.
  • Identifying and analysing gaps with respect to Swift scheme requirements and collaborate with other teams to comply with the regulatory requirements.
  • Providing technical support functions necessary to identify and resolve production and test incidents.
  • Participating in the execution of integration tests as required and formulate feedback including recommendations to action.
  • Providing support for production systems and tracking of incidents and tasks as well as ensuring clear reporting to senior management.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience of working in a cross-functional environment using waterfall and/or Agile methodologies
  • Experience of Incident management, problem solving fix on fail and associated support, with specific experience of support during major incidents.
  • Literacy of architectural designs of systems and software.
  • Good communication and planning skills.

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • Experience in working with Swift MT and MX messages.
  • Solid understanding of payments schemes such as SWIFT, CHAPS and Faster Payments.

This role is based in Milton Keynes and our current expectation is at least 2 days in an office every week.

Our tech stack is currently traditional mainframe based around COBOL, CICS, DB2, SQL, JCL and Control/M. We are moving towards Micro Focus and Oracle based infrastructure for our legacy systems. In addition, we are building out a new payments strategic architecture and want to upskill our team to remain current with the skills needed to meet our customer needs going forward.

1st Stage – Technical Interview – this will be a 30 min technical interview with one of the team.

2nd Stage – A one-hour formal interview where we will ask both technical and competency-based questions. This can be done virtually or face to face depending on your situation.
