Payroll & Accounts payable position

Here at Every Step Recruitment, Finance & Accountancy, we are happy to be supporting a company based in Luton, who are looking to recruit a Payroll and Accounts Payable position on a full-time, permanent basis.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Processing all payrolls for UK and 2 European countries
- Liaising with Managers regarding queries, requests and deadlines.
- Managing ad hoc enquiries from managers and employees.
- Inputting high volume of data to the payroll system including overtime, expenses, commissions ensuring correct and timely processing of weekly/Monthly payroll.
- Maintaining sickness/maternity and other absence payments whilst maintaining and monitoring records as necessary, keeping up to date in legislation to ensure the payroll is compliant with statutory changes.
- Dealing with pension queries.
- Provision of financial information and reconciliation of payroll related control accounts.
- Completion and publication of weekly and monthly reports to all aspects of the business, including absence, production hours, overtime and hours worked, costs
- Processing purchase ledger invoices and payments
- Producing monthly invoices from timesheet data in the UK and Europe
- Creating intercompany invoicing
You will have the following skills & attributes:
- Previous experience within a Payroll Office position
- Some understanding of transactional Accounts Administrator duties
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- The ability to work in a pressured environment
- Strong on MS systems including Excel
