Payroll Administrator

Randstad is recruiting for a Payroll Administrator for North West Regional College for a 6 month contract.

Requirements

• Have a level 5 qualification
• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll function
• Excellent IT skills including MS Office - Excel is essential
• Previous Education or Public Sector experience would be an advantage
• GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English - C and above
• Candidates will be subjected to enhanced vetting including an Enhanced access NI check

Responsibilities

• Administer payroll via the in-house payroll system
• Check that all documentation received is properly authorised
• Undertake checks to ensure accuracy of documentation and input
• Ensure all deductions are accrue and appropriately authorised
• Process ad-hoc payments in a timely manner
• Prepare monthly returns for DoE, HMRC etc
• Ensure all documentation is recorded accurately and stored securely and in a confidential manner
• Assist with audit preparation and ensure all adequate information is available
• Maintain personal employee records, including master data, and in relation to sickness and absences
