Job description

Responsibilities

  • Input and process all aspects of the monthly payroll
  • Ensure seamless integration of new starters into the system
  • Maintain a comprehensive and clear record of all payroll-related changes each month.
  • Calculate prorated salaries for joiners, leavers, and any colleagues undergoing changes in their employment status (such as part-time shifts, salary increases, etc.).
  • Oversee all HMRC
  • Review calculations of payroll provider of all elements of monthly payroll, such as SSP, SMP, GAYE, salary sacrifices, one-off payments, employee loans, and gross-to-net calculations.
  • Coordinate the administration of benefits
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance Payroll and Benefits

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Payroll and Benefits Specialist, with a strong understanding of payroll processing and employee benefits administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK payroll regulations, tax and reporting requirements.
  • Proficient with payroll software and HRIS systems.
  • CIPP Qualified (desirable but not essential).
