The Role:
* Assist with the preparation, analysis and reporting of the monthly operational results of two factories.
* Assisting with the preparation and follow up of the budget and forecast process of the UK Group companies and supporting the Production Controller in same.
* Understanding of the production processes and how they affect the operational results of the factories.
* Stock analyses.
* Investment process
- Investment request including payback calculation.
- Follow up approved investment requests to end of project.
* Assisting with the setting up and controlling of the costing model including analysing deviations between calculated cost and actual cost.
* Perform various operational ad-hoc analyses.
* Get involved in and support in relevant projects.
* Look for improvements, cost savings and eliminate unnecessary work.
Candidate Profile:
* Preferably an experienced ERP system user although not essential but certainly a person who is able to follow up on relevant data, make quality checks and find errors.
* Experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be preferable but not essential.
* Analytical and quality-conscious, highly organised and able to work on own initiative.
* Be creative and innovative, come up with ideas and suggestions for solutions.
* Able to work to tight deadlines.
* Communicate well both verbally and in writing with others, at all levels, even in problem and conflict situations.
* Meticulous attention to detail.
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
This role would suit an active studier of AAT or ACCA/CIMA as you will receive study support and experience to allow you to progress.
