As market leaders in their field the business is going through a considerable period of growth. This new role in the Finance team is to support with their long term growth and success. You will oversee accounting procedures and reconciliations, budgets and analysis, foreign invoices and other associated duties.
Working full time on-site in their new multi - million pound offices in Witham this role is perfect if you are looking for career progression and eager to join a fast paced team in a vibrant and supportive business.
What will you do as a Assistant Management Accountant?
- Gather and analyse financial information for internal use
- Support budgeting and funding
- Assist the company in managing the implementation of new software
- Assume responsibility of accounting procedures
- Produce VAT returns and HMRC reconciliations
- Maintain the fixed assets register including capitalisation of assets, disposals, and new projects
- Take responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations including prepayments and accruals
- Advise on problems and suggest improvement
What will you need as a Management Accountant?
- Proven experience as Management Accountant
- Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge of reporting
- Working knowledge of financial software and MS Office
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- A problem-solver with attention to detail
- BSc/BA in accounting, finance or similar field
- Relevant certification (e.g. CIMA or CGMA) will be preferred
