Job Title: Payroll & HRIS Co-ordinator
Location: Foleshill Road, Coventry, UK
Core Hours: 08:00-16:35 (Mon–Thu) 08:00-15:10 (Fri). 
Vacancy Type: Full-time, Permanent and Hybrid.
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (subject to experience)

Join our team as a Payroll and HR Information System (HRIS) Co-ordinator and support our mission of protecting lives globally!

This is a varied and challenging role that requires an exceptionally well organised, experienced payroll specialist to work alongside our Payroll and HRIS Manager. You will also support the HR function with a wide range of HRIS inputs and other HR related tasks, mainly administrative.

The Payroll and HR Co-ordinator reports to the HR Director with delegation of Payroll and HRIS responsibilities directed by the Payroll and HRIS Manager.  The team processes UK and Canada payroll requirements for over 200 employees across multiple payrolls.

MAIN JOB DUTIES

  • Processing the UK payroll requirements for over 200 monthly paid employees via 2 payrolls
  • Processing the Canada payroll for a small number of fortnightly paid employees through a third-party payroll provider
  • Obtain information from other systems and colleagues to support payroll – e.g. time and attendance, HRIS and some companywide manual processes
  • Daily liaison with Payroll and HRIS Manager, HR, Finance, Line Managers, Team Leaders and Production team to ensure that all information is accurate and is in line with company policy
  • Support all payroll processes and submissions and ensure it is delivered accurately to strict deadlines
  • Administer and input on Payroll/HRIS all new starters and all ongoing HRIS inputs e.g. medical notes, absence information, personal information changes
  • Manage payroll for leavers having identified correct final payments in accordance with HR and payroll procedures
  • Process salary increases and amendments, overtime and shift changes in accordance HR and payroll procedures
  • Administration of benefits (Salary Sacrifice and Salary Exchange Benefits)
  • Manage the requirements as instructed by Regulatory authorities such as HMRC, CSA and or Court instructions
  • Administration of Pension Auto Enrolment Schemes and related paperwork with the support of our pension brokers
  • Preparation of payroll reports and statutory reporting, including Real Time Information requirements
  • Calculation of PAYE, NI and other statutory deductions as necessary
  • Monitor and record employees on maternity, paternity and adoption leave processing payroll record changes and deduction changes as notified by employee

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Essential

Relevant experience working as an experienced Payroll Specialist is essential

To possess a solid working knowledge of above responsibilities and payroll legislation

Excellent Microsoft Excel and IT skills including payroll packages ideally SAGE Payroll, and Time and Attendance Systems, and Pension Auto Enrolment packages

Accuracy, attention to detail, and would class yourself as having excellent mathematical knowledge.

Ability to work in a confidential environment and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion

Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative

Willing to learn and problem solve complicated payroll matters
