Payroll Assistant
This is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking practice who are looking for an experienced Payroll Assistant to run Payroll for a range of clients with weekly, fortnightly, four weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual payroll cycles. This is a full-time permanent position, fully office based in Chard offering a great salary up to £27,000.
As an experienced Payroller your main duties will include:
- Processing payroll for a range of clients with weekly, fortnightly, four weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual payroll cycles.
- Manual calculation of Tax and NI
- Calculating pay increases, overtime and bonuses
- Calculating SMP, SSP etc.
- Reporting to HMRC on behalf of clients and liaising regarding any queries
- Auto-enrolment, pension assessment and uploads to pension provider
- Responding to client queries
Have you got or working to the below qualifications?
- Professional certification in payroll or accounting (e.g., CIPP, AAT)
- Experience with payroll software such as Iris, Sage, QuickBooks, or ADP
- Knowledge of pension schemes and auto-enrolment
Are you passionate about Finance and Accountancy and looking to develop your career? We are looking for a great Candidate with the skills & knowledge below:
- Ability to perform complex calculations and handle large volumes of data
- Knowledge of HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) guidelines and reporting obligations
