JOB TITLE:Payroll Manager
LOCATION: Taunton, Somerset
SALARY & BENEFITS: Up to £35,000 PA DOE

HOURS: 8.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (9am start possibly considered with a shorter lunchbreak)

THE ROLE: You will be responsible for the end to end payroll process, developing processes, systems and controls to ensure accurate and timely payments to employees. The payroll is currently outsourced so you will be play a key role in moving this in house and reviewing the systems in use. You will support the Associate Payroll Manager to ensure that all associates within the business are paid in time and in full, as well as supporting integration into the group. You will have a great deal of interaction with other sites so you will need to be a strong communicator, approachable and have a passion for helping people.
DUTIES:
Payroll
- Manage the end-to-end process
- Collate data from sites and input onto the payroll system
- Developing controls and processes and ensuring continuous improvement
- P11D preparation and submission
- Calculation and submission of pension
- Integration training with new practices
- Posting monthly payroll journals and managing intercompany salary recharges
- Responding to payroll queries
Supporting the Associate Pay Manager
- Onboarding, alongside the Acquisitions team, new practices onto the Associate Pay system
- Calculating and verifying payments using the Associate Pay system
- Liaising with managers on new starters and amendments
- Liaising with Acquisitions and Operational teams on Associate Contracts
- Providing training to new managers
- Associate pay queries
- Governance and processing of all expenses and mileage
THE CANDIDATE:
- CIPP payroll technician preferred but not essential
- Payroll experience - managing an end to end process
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- IT Literate with a good working knowledge of Excel
- Problem solving
- Attention to detail
- Willing to travel if required
