An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Manager to bring their technical expertise and leadership skills to manage the payroll service for Chesterfield Borough Council.
Ideally CIPP qualified, you will be leading a small team to provide the accurate and timely production of the Council’s monthly payroll service including mandatory payroll & pension requirements and year end procedures.
We are looking for the right candidate with knowledge of payroll & pensions legislation, payroll processing and Payroll/ HR software systems.
You will also have strong business partner skills and experience of working strategically with key stakeholders along with excellent interpersonal skills to negotiate and influence decisions.
This is an exhilarating time for the payroll team, and you will lead a programme of innovation and change through system upgrades and developing technology to improve the quality and value of the service.
