Description
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of company payroll
- Administer Statutory Sick Pay. (SSP) Stautory Maternity Pay (SMP) Statutory Paternity Pay (SPP)
- Prepare and process year end filing and P60 documentation
- Prepare and Process P11D and ensure all employees and HMRC are in receipt of correct documents and payments.
- Maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information
- Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests
- To produce monthly management reports and account journals
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- To undertake compliance and auditing reporting.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Stay updated on the payroll regulations and ensure company compliance
- Prepare reports for the accounting department as required
Profile
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
- A strong understanding of payroll systems and procedures
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills to liaise with colleagues and resolve queries
- The ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Proficiency in relevant computer software (e.g., Excel, payroll software)
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
