Payroll Services Manager - 12 Fixed Term Contract Role can be based Edinburgh or Glasgow with hybrid working (2 days in the office per week) Salary available for the role is up to £49,560 per annum Role will be advertised till 19/2/2024 at 5pm What we’ll offer This newly created role within the People team at Tesco Bank will play a key part in our drive for continuous improvement and digitalisation of our operational processes. The role provides a unique opportunity to work with colleagues across Tesco Group both inside and outside of the UK to deliver and shape payroll processes and continuous improvement activities. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Payroll professional to join a well-established and high performing team to support, shape and automate our payroll processes and systems. What you’ll bring Essential criteria - * Candidates should possess previous experience of managing or delivering end to end payroll processes for high volume or complex payrolls. * Experience with managing and conducting payroll audits. * Strong analytical skills with experience of being able to turn analysis into actions and improvements. * Strong communication and inter-personal skills. * A compliance mindset with the ability to demonstrate knowledge within Payroll best practice and HMRC compliance. * Intermediate Excel skills. Desirable - * Experience of managing third party payroll providers operating under a fully managed service or payroll bureau arrangement. * CIPP qualifications would also be useful, albeit not essential if candidates are able to demonstrate essential experience detailed above. * Experience of using Oracle software would also be advantageous. In the role you will be part of the People Services function who manage and support key payroll activities for Tesco Bank.
