An exciting opportunity to join our Payroll & Rewards Team has become available! We are recruiting for the role of Payroll Specialistto join our team based in or around Stevenage, Maidenhead or Leeds (West Yorkshire). This is a full time, permanent position with the flexibility of hybrid-working.

Don't worry if you do not have Nordics payroll experience as full training will be given, UK Payroll is essential. You will be responsible for processing the organisation's payroll in a timely and accurate manner in line with agreed deadlines, in addition to creating and maintaining the employees' payroll records.
We are looking for someone keen eye for detail and problems solving skills, someone who enjoys carrying out wage calculations and deductions based on employee attendance and timesheet records, ready for entering into our central system for processing and cross checking against payroll reports.

Key skills and experience needed?
- Previous experience of end to end payroll processing, Including manual payments and SSP calculations
- Working knowledge of payroll software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Numerical aptitude
- CIPP qualification preferred but not essential (Preferred)
- Nordic payroll experience preferred but not essential (Preferred)
Key responsibilities:
- Providing payroll data to 3rd party payroll provider.
- Carrying out manual calculations and processing of maternity / paternity payments / SSP / new starters / leavers / pensions, plus other calculations as required.
- Entering all permanent and temporary data, including new starters and leavers, cost centre changes.
- Liaising with Human Resources (HR) regarding all payroll related queries.
- Dealing with payroll related queries from employees / managers /HR etc. alongside Payroll Manager.
- Chasing up data as and when required along with Payroll Manager.
- Responsible for making sure all payrolls are processed accurately and on time in line with Payroll deadlines.
- Accurate taxation on company cars
- Absence processing.
- Closing the payrolls ensuring deadlines are met.
- Issuing payroll journals for Payroll Manager sign off.
- Issuing payroll-processing reports to all relevant stakeholders
- Processing all third party payments e.g. HMRC, Pensions and Pensioners.
- Assisting with online payslip and payroll queries, send links to new starters.
- Checking all payroll data processed by Payroll Manager.
