Payroll Specialist

Job Description

Based in Watford, Hertfordshire, our client is looking for an Payroll Specialist. This will be on a hybrid working basis with 1 day required in the office per week and start as a fixed term position with very strong chances of going permanent.

This job would suit someone with at 5 years of relevant experience with international payroll administration in shared services centre environment. They will be responsible for the analysis, execution, and support of payroll operations with utmost confidentiality of 5000 employee records and business information of the Payroll Finance Shared Services organisation.

The successful individual will have multi-national companies experience working with third-party payroll services providers. Due to the nature of this fast-paced environment, this person must be comfortable working within a complex and highly matrixed environment. Experience working in systems such as SAP, SuccessFactors, ADP Global View and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

Job responsibilities:

• Executing day-to-day data entry, data corrections, mass upload etc.
• Preparing global payroll data for payroll processing by third party payroll admins
• Ensure timely preparation, processing, maintenance and appropriate distribution of payroll information, payroll reports, all tax year end reports, payroll manuals and related payroll working instructions.
• Performing audits and validations of payroll transactions
• Verify timekeeping records and consult managers/employees about any discrepancies
• Run remote and calculate off-cycle pay checks
• Payroll issues are escalated and resolved with root cause analysis and corrective action for all levels of employees and management, with a focus on ensuring a positive and seamless employee experience in partnership with HR Shared Services.
• Perform payroll execution in accordance with all company, country, federal, state, local and other applicable compliance requirements
• Ensure end-to-end processes are well-thought out to address customer and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and drive continuous performance improvement projects to improve payroll accuracy, compliance, productivity and / or employee satisfaction
• Monitoring changing business, regulatory and financial requirements
