Job Description: PEGA Developer
Start date: September
Location: Remote with occasional travel to London
Overview:
A PEGA Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions using PEGA systems. They work closely with business analysts, architects, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
- Develop and implement PEGA BPM (Business Process Management) applications.
- Design class structures, application frameworks, and data models.
- Create and maintain reusable components, templates, and frameworks.
System Integration:
- Integrate PEGA applications with external systems using PEGA integration tools and techniques.
- Develop and implement RESTful and SOAP web services.
Requirement Analysis:
- Collaborate with business analysts to understand the business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Participate in requirement gathering sessions and provide inputs for system design.
Quality Assurance:
- Perform unit testing and ensure the quality of code.
- Assist in system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the solution meets the business requirements.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for PEGA applications.
- Perform application maintenance and enhancements as required.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, code comments, and user manuals.
Best Practices and Standards:
- Adhere to coding standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with PEGA design and development principles.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with the latest PEGA features, tools, and technologies.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a PEGA Developer.
- Hands-on experience with PEGA PRPC (Pega Rules Process Commander) version 7.x or higher.
Certifications: PEGA Certified System Architect (CSA) or PEGA Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) is preferred.
Skills:
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of PEGA architecture, design patterns, and development tools.
- Proficiency in PEGA PRPC, BPM, and CRM platforms.
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and XML.
- Familiarity with databases like Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
- Knowledge of web services, SOAP, REST, and API integrations.
