Pension Policy and Compliance Assistant
Salary: (£29,874.00 - £35,982.00)
This is an exciting role, assisting with casework on pensions and data management. Based in People Services, you will liaise regularly with HR practitioners and with other departments.
This is a developmental role, and you must be able to learn and apply complex rules and procedures, including new legislation and relevant case-law. You will be trained to prepare and deliver reports and statistical analysis. You will be encouraged to contribute to the refinement of processes and the learning and development of colleagues on technical changes.
You must be able to manage the competing demands of your workload and work to deadlines. You must have a proven track record of working within a pensions or human resource environment. You must be able to manage difficult or challenging situations, with proven ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation and with external partners. You must have or be willing to work towards achieving CIPD Level 3 or equivalent qualifications.
The role is based at Weston Road, though some of the work could be undertaken at home.
Please note that applications are welcomed from all suitably qualified/experienced individuals. However prior consideration will be given to applications from individuals who are ‘at risk’ and employed by Staffordshire Police. If an appointment is made from that at-risk group, the post may be withdrawn. In this event, a representative from the Enabling services team will notify any affected applicants.
Staffordshire have a strong commitment to equality and diversity in our people, within the organisation and in the services, we provide to our communities.
We want to reflect the communities we serve and one way we can try to achieve this is through a 'positive action' approach.
Positive action is activity which helps employers identify and remove barriers and issues to the recruitment, retention and progression of people who identify with underrepresented groups of the Equalities Act 2010 (i.e. LGBT+, ethnicity, disability), whilst still employing people on merit.
