Are you an aspiring Actuarial professional, interested in joining a national pensions consultancy poised for growth in 2024?
CORE Talent Solutions is delighted to be partnering with our established client, a leading pension consultancy with offices across the UK, looking to bolster its Actuarial teams across several divisions as they look to facilitate increased client demand in 2024.
You will take responsibility for your client accounts, focusing on the preparation and delivery of advice to clients, coaching less experienced members of the team, and building relationships with key decision-makers to develop the account.
Key responsibilities of the Pensions Actuary:
- Work collaboratively as part of the team in the preparation of advice, checking calculations undertaken
- Consult with client contacts to agree on budgets and deadlines, ensuring necessary service agreements are agreed
- Encourage effective communication within client teams to support the delivery of work
- Develop internal and external networks.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to team members
- Present work clearly and concisely to clients and colleagues as required.
Key skills or background required for the Pensions Actuary:
- Fully qualified actuary or currently studying towards
- Have a good understanding of the regulatory framework around UK pension schemes
- Experience delivering actuarial calculations
- Strong communication skills, with a desire to be in a client-facing role
